To Say we specialise in building Radio Controlled Square rigged Sailing Ships is a bit of a understatement. We can build a model of any sailing ship from a hull Legnth up to a maximum of 4000mm (We could build larger but the shear size of this model would take specialised lifting equipment.
Detail well most of our models are built for TV and Film ao we have a percentage scale for detail
100% means that every possible detail possible is added to the model, This is obviously expensive and takes a long time On a 3000mm Victory as Shown to the right a model built to 100% would cost approx. £50,000 and take 6 months to build
75% This gives a good Dockside level of detail - we add in the main and larger details but leave out the smaller fine work - The aim is to give a model that if it was sat in the water next to you would look real a 3000mm Victory to this level would cost approx. £12,000 and take 4 months
50% This is the most practical as a Radio Controlled model - We refer to this as Stand off Scale - The model has all the main detail and and From the shore looks correct. Models built to 50% are most suited to Display work. A 3000mm Hms Victory to this level would cost approx. £5500 and take 4 months to build
